Report: Patriots to 'reassess' Tom Brady's elbow injury

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was a surprising addition to the New England injury report on Friday, listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Cowboys due to a right elbow issue that limited him in practice.

Brady injuries are often met with dismissal in terms of the idea of missing games, as he hasn't missed game time to injury since he suffered a torn ACL in the 2008 season opener. That and an ankle injury in the AFC title game following his first season as a starter in 2001 are the only times the 42-year-old Brady has missed action to injury in his 20 NFL seasons.

According to NFL Network, though, Brady's current status is a bit uncertain. NFL Network reported Friday night that the Patriots are going to "monitor" the elbow injury into Saturday and "reassess" it. This comes after a previous NFL Network report stated that Brady was indeed expected to play Sunday evening at Gillette Stadium against Dallas.

The #Patriots will monitor Tom Brady's elbow issue into tomorrow and reassess, I'm told. He hasn't missed a start because of injury since 2008. https://t.co/AV190SyoPq
