TRIPLE-A PAWTUCKET RED SOX (46-55): L, 6-4 vs. Columbus
-The PawSox have dropped eight of their last nine games. After rallying in the late innings, Columbus put two on the board in the tenth to win.
-Starting pitcher Matthew Kent started his first game with the PawSox, allowing four runs in 5 1/3 innings.
-First baseman Sam Travis had a hit and notched two RBIs. His batting average is now .242.
DOUBLE-A PORTLAND SEA DOGS (42-60): L, 8-1 at Trenton
-Shortstop Jeremy Rivera went 3-3 with a double. He has three multi-hit games in his last four appearances.
-Starting pitcher Daniel McGrath surrened two earned runs in four innings. He struck out six in the effort and owns a .98 K/IP ratio.
-Third baseman Michael Chavis went 1-4 with a double. Chavis is hitting .194 in eight games with the Sea Dogs.
HIGH-A SALEM RED SOX (48-54): L, 5-4 at Wilmington
-Starting pitcher Bryan Mata only pitched one inning. His back tightened up and he was relieved for precautionary reasons.
-Left fielder Victor Acosta went 3-4 with a run scored. He is sitting at .308 since his call-up from Greenville.
-Designated hitter Jordan Procyshen recorded two RBIs and went 2-3. He is only slugging .279 on the season.
SINGLE-A GREENVILLE DRIVE (43-59): L, 5-2 vs. Hickory
-Starting pitcher Enmanuel De Jesus allowed five earned runs and eight hits in six innings pitched. Hitters only average .231 against him.
-Shortstop Ryan Fitzgerald smacked his seventh home run of the season and recorded three hits and two RBIs.
-Third baseman Garrett Benge went 2-4, improving his average to .338.
SHORT SEASON-A LOWELL SPINNERS (21-18): L, 5-2 vs. Hudson Valley
-Relief pitchers Oddanier Mosqueda and Andrew Politi combined to surrender four runs in the ninth inning.
-Designated hitter Kole Cottam doubled and recorded an RBI.
-The team went 1-6 with runners in scoring position.
