
Here is what happened in the Red Sox farm system on Thursday.
TRIPLE-A PAWTUCKET RED SOX (24-27): W, 4-3 at Norfolk
-- Shortstop Tzu-Wei Lin went 2-4, including a solo home run, and added two RBI’s in Pawtucket’s three-game sweep over the Norfolk Admirals.
-- Starting pitcher Jalen Beeks pitched seven innings, allowing only one earned run and struck out seven.
-- Norfolk made the game interesting in the ninth, as catcher Austin Wynns smoked a two-run home run off of Williams Jerez to narrow Pawtucket’s lead to one, but they were able to hang on.
DOUBLE-A PORTLAND SEA DOGS (18-34): W, 12-9 at New Hampshire
-- Shortstop Jeremy Rivera notched three hits, including a double, while driving in four runs and scoring three times.
-- First baseman Josh Ockimey drove in three, raising his RBI tally to 25 on the year.
-- The back-end of Portland’s bullpen allowed a mere two hits and no runs in the final four frames.
HIGH-A SALEM RED SOX (25-25): W, 10-8 vs. Potomac
-- Third baseman Bobby Dalbec smashed a three-run home run in the first inning, his tenth of the season. He finished the game with a team-high five RBIs.
-- Designated hitter Rosani Baldwin hit safely in all three of his at-bats, scoring three times and added three RBIs.
--Yankory Pinmentel earned his second save of the season, pitching 2 1/3 innings without giving up a run.
SINGLE-A GREENVILLE DRIVE (13-38): L, 9-2 vs. Augusta
-- Right fielder Victor Acosta launched a solo home run and accumulated two hits.
-- Designated hitter Zach Sterry doubled and scored.
-- Starting pitcher Jhonathan Diaz struck out eight in five innings while allowing two earned runs on three hits and giving up two walks.
