-- Designated hitter Sam Travis logged his second-consecutive multi-hit-game by going 2-for-4 including a two-run homer to center field.
-- Right fielder Cole Sturgeon went 2-for-3 with a pair of singles. He's now batting .289 between Portland and Pawtucket.
DOUBLE-A PORTLAND SEA DOGS (30-50): L, 4-3 vs Binghamton
-- Portland's Austin Rei blasted a solo homer in the eighth inning to tie the game, but Binghamton would plate a run in the top of the 11th to secure the victory.
-- Sea Dogs third baseman Jantzen Witte also blasted a solo home run, his eighth of the season and seventh with Portland.
-- Reliever Jordan Weems took the loss throwing three innings with one unearned run. His record falls to 1-2 with a 3.97 ERA.
HIGH-A SALEM RED SOX (37-41): L, 3-1 at Down East
-- Salem starter Jake Thompson kept the Wood Ducks scoreless until the seventh where a costly error by shortstop CJ Chatham helped put three runs on the board.
-- Thompson threw almost seven complete innings allowing five hits and a career-high seven strikeouts.
-- Chatham's RBI fielder's choice in the bottom of the eighth helped get the Red Sox on the board, but that was all the offense they could muster. Salem was 0-for-6 on the day with runners in scoring position.
SINGLE-A GREENVILLE DRIVE (29-51): L, 1-0 vs Charleston
-- Greenville starter Hildemaro Requena matched a career-high seven scoreless innings allowing just two hits with six strikeouts and zero walks.
-- Shortstop Everlouis Lozada led the Drive going 2-for-4 on the day, but the offense couldn't find a way to put a run on the board.
-- After an hour-long rain delay, Drive reliever Devon Fisher relieved Requena on the mound. Fisher hit a batter, a wild pitch moved the runner to a second, and a single to center squeaked across the only run of the day.
SHORT-SEASON SINGLE-A LOWELL SPINNERS (7-9): L, 7-3 vs Connecticut
-- Starter Victor Garcia suffered the loss on two innings of work allowing four runs on four hits.
-- Lowell's Jarren Duran and Tyler Dearden both logged three hits in the loss.
