The Celtics selected Grant Williams at No. 22 in the 2019 NBA Draft.
The forward averaged 18.8 points and 7.5 rebounds per game last season at Tennessee. The 6-foot-7 forward uses grit and smarts on both ends of the court and has a strong understanding of his role and abilities. Known for being a hard-nosed defender, he can also step out onto the perimeter or body up on the interior.
Prior to Williams, Boston’s first selection of the draft was Romeo Langford at No. 14. The Indiana guard shot 44.8 percent from the field and 27.2 percent from beyond the arc, whiling playing through a torn ligament in his right thumb.
