Mookie Betts was easily the best player in baseball last year, but his isn't even the best-selling jersey in the American League East.
Betts finished third on the list of best-selling jerseys thus far in 2019, according to data released by MLB.com and compiled from Fanatics online shops. The highest sales went to a player who didn't even find a team until spring training -- Phillies slugger Bryce Harper. He's followed at No. 2 by Yankees behemoth Aaron Judge and then Betts ranks third.
The only other Red Sox player in the top 20 is outfielder Andrew Benintendi, who came in at 18th. The rest of the top five is Angels perennial MVP candidate Mike Trout and Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina.
