The Red Sox on Tuesday recalled left-handed pitcher Jalen Beeks from Triple-A Pawtucket and optioned right-hander William Cuevas back to the PawSox.
Beeks is 5-5 with a 3.05 ERA at Pawtucket in 15 starts. In his only big-league appearance, on June 7, he started and allowed six runs in four innings of a 7-2 loss to the Tigers.
