Although the Red Sox All-Stars didn't play a huge role in the American League's 8-6 extra-innings win, Mitch Moreland had a successful first career All-Star Game, registering a pair of singles in three at-bats.
Moreland entered the game in the sixth inning as a defensive replacement and went on to hit two singles against Josh Hader and Ross Stripling.
J.D. Martinez, who got the start at DH, also reached base, going 1-for-2 with a single in his first at-bat. Mookie Betts, who led off for the AL, went 0-for-3 on the night.
