After drafting linebacker Christian Sam with their first sixth-round pick of the 2018 NFL Draft, the Patriots selected Miami wide receiver Braxton Berrios 32 slots later with the 210th overall pick. Then with the first pick of the seventh round, the Patriots took LSU quarterback Danny Etling -- much later than many anticipated the Pats would take a quarterback.
Here's three things to know about Berrios:
-- Berrios led the Hurricanes in receiving his senior season, hauling in 55 receptions for 679 yards and nine touchdowns. His marks earned him third-team All-Atlantic Coast Conference honors and Berrios' nine scores were second-most in conference. He was a team captain during the 2018 season.
-- The 5-foot-9, 186-pound wide receiver ran a speedy 4.4 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine.
-- Berrios has punt-returning ability, which New England coach Bill Belichick cherishes out of his wide receivers. He returned kicks throughout all four years at Miami, averaging more than 11 yards per return in each of his final two seasons, including returning a punt for a score his junior season.

Here's three things to know about Etling:
-- Etling transferred to LSU after losing his starting position at Purdue following his sophomore season. The quarterback sat out for a season before leading the Tigers to a 7-3 record and Citrus Bowl victory his junior year. Etling completed 60 percent of his passes and threw for 2,463 yards and 16 touchdowns under center as a senior.
-- NFL.com's scouting report lists Etling's 6-foot-3, 215-pound frame and strong arm as some of his strengths, but claims he will have difficulty landing on an NFL roster, in part because of his concerns about his poise in the pocket and ability to handle pressure.
-- Etling hails from Terre Haute, Indiana.
