Of all the things Aaron Hernandez had to be worried about while serving a prison sentence for murder, his biggest fear seemed to be losing his teeth.
According to a letter sent to a female friend on March 2, 2016, Hernandez was fearful of losing his perfect smile.
"This really is the most depressing thing in my life! Even more than a life sentence; my teeth are really everything to me (my smile)!" Hernandez wrote.
In the four page letter, which is up for sale on eBay for $7,500, Hernandez explains the pain he experienced from his dental problems.
"One side of bridge came off but I put it back in place but its (sic) painful and I barely could eat! I have to put everything in pieces into the back of my mouth," Hernandez said. "I'm in pain! They have to do something and ASAP!"
He also asked the friend to contact someone in the Department of Correction about getting him to a dentist at an "outside facility."
The letter was written 13 months before he committed suicide in the cell.
