In a recent interview with CNBC’s Suzy Welch at his Nantucket home, Bill Belichick and his girlfriend, Linda Holliday, opened up on their love for their puppy, Nike.
“I love dogs,” Belichick said. “Yeah, I love dogs — all dogs. Most all dogs love me.”
Nike is an Alaskan Klee Kai they adopted five months ago and is “a fun dog,” who “enjoys playing” and is “pretty good with his paws,” Belichick said.

Holliday said Belichick was hesitant at first when she told she planned to adopt a puppy.
“Then 24 hours [later>, he falls in love with Nike,” she said.
Holliday also explained the photo taken earlier this year of Belichick and Nike wearing matching hoodies at a BU-Holy Cross women’s lacrosse game.
“I get plenty of football at football,” he said. “I love football, but it’s nice to get away and a change of scenery and not talk about it … It’s unconditional love. You just walk in the door, they love you. They wag their tail, they look at you, they’re happy to see you. It doesn’t make any difference what kind of day you had or what happened or anything else. It’s just unconditional.”
