-- Former 49ers CEO Carmen Policy has an interesting idea for how he would handle negotiations with Jimmy Garoppolo.
Speaking to 95.7 The Game in San Francisco on Thursday, Policy shared a somewhat graphic strategy for team when in contract talks with the free agent quarterback.
"If I were representing the team, I think what I would do is enter the room and I would bring a large jar of Vaseline," Policy said. "And I would say to the agent on the other side, 'I'm a nice guy. I really want to do the right thing. Please be gentle with me.'"
ProFootballTalk asked Policy if the comments were meant to be sexual.
Policy, 74, responded in an email: "At my age any references would be related to Male Medical Exams and would have no sexual connotation."
-- Nancy Kerrigan responded to questions about the new movie, "I, Tonya," on Thursday and said she doesn't really care about the film.
Speaking to Dan Shaughnessy, Kerrigan, a Mass. native, said she's been too busy to see the movie about her former rival Tonya Harding.
"I really have nothing to say about it. I haven't seen anything. I haven't watched anything," Kerrigan said. "I've been busy. I was at the national [figure skating] championships this week so I didn't watch the Golden Globes. I haven't seen the movie. I'm just busy living my life.''
"At this point, it's so much easier and better to just be . . . it's not really part of my life," Kerrigan went on. "As you say, I was the victim. Like, that's my role in this whole thing. That's it.
The movie stars Margot Robbie as Harding, whose ex-husband Jeff Gillooly was involved in a hit on Harding's leg before the 1994 Olympics. Kerrigan was able to compete in the Olympics, however, and won silver, while Harding finished eighth.
