AROUND THE WEB:
-- It appears Rob Gronkowski’s “bands make her dance” tweets weren’t about money or the Patriots after all.
-- It seems umpire Tom Hallion is already warmed up for the baseball season.
Hallion ejected five players from Thursday’s Spring Training game between the Phillies and Tigers, including Gabe Kapler, Phillies bench coach Rob Thomson, a Detroit pitcher and two Phillies pitchers.
Kapler, former Red Sox outfielder and current Phillies manager, was ejected for arguing the ejection of Philadelphia pitcher Parker Frazier for hitting a batter.
Before Frazier’s ejection, Hallion tossed Detroit’s Matt Boyd for hitting a batter. Philadelphia’s Pedro Beato was the final ejection after he hit a batter in the final inning.
The Phillies lost 6-2.
