AROUND THE WEB:
-- Richie Incognito caused an odd incident at a gym in South Florida on Wednesday when he was seen throwing weights and tennis balls at another gym member, according to a police report.
Police officers interviewed Incognito at LifeTime Fitness and he said he was "running" secret government documents through his phone.
"There's a guy walking around with head phones on," Incognito told officers. "I'm running NSA class level 3 documents through my phone. I can't have anybody (with) bluetooth capability ... taking pictures of me."
He also said he had taken Shroom Tech, which would explain his behavior it seems.
Incognito was detained after officers determined he was in "an altered, paranoid state."
The target in the Incognito incident told a 911 dispatcher he was working out in an outside area of the gym and Incognito tried to hit him over the head with a weight sled.
"I'm at LifeTime Fitness and I'm down in the workout area and a gentleman just chucked a tennis ball at me for no reason," the other patron said. "Then he tried to mow me over with his sled and just started yelling at me that he was going to kick my ass."
The caller identified the man as Incognito.
"I just wanted to work out," the caller said. "I have no idea. He has some issues going on."
Shroom Tech released a statement after the incident, saying the product is safe and stimulant-free.
"Shroom Tech Sport is stimulant free, BSCG tested & certified as competition safe. It has undergone Clinical Studies & tracked for Adverse Events for years that have not observed such side effects. We don't know Richie, but we hope he feels better soon," the company tweeted.
Incognito was released by the Bills earlier this week and is looking to sign with another team as a free agent.
-- Brandon Marshall reacted to Donald Trump's anthem policy comments on Thursday, calling what the president said "disgusting."
Trump supported the new anti-kneeling policy, saying "You have to stand proudly for the national anthem or you shouldn't be playing, you shouldn't be there. Maybe you shouldn't be in the country."
"I say 'disgusting' because of our First Amendment rights,'' Marshall said. "We have freedom of speech, right? Freedom to protest? Because somebody decides to protest something, now have to be kicked out of the country? That's not how things should work, in my opinion. ... Just because somebody disagrees with something, or if I didn't stand for the anthem, or if I don't like what's going on, that's basically him saying I should be kicked out the country."
"We're supposed to have a conversation about things, talk about things, work things through," he continued. "Everybody is not gonna agree on things, everybody is not gonna have the same opinion on things. So just because somebody disagrees or has an issue with something that's going on in this country, it doesn't mean that they should pack up and leave. That's absurd, in my opinion.''
The Broncos linebacker took a knee in Week 3 last season and before eight games in 2016.
QUOTE OF THE DAY: "Definitely Golden State. It sounds crazy because of the talent of the Warriors, but just the way their switching defense has given Golden State problems over the years, that gives the Celtics confidence. Look, the Celtics from the top down, they are lunatics. They think they can win this year. They are convinced they can win this year. I think that is a lot to ask." -- Chris Mannix, with Dale & Keefe, on the Warriors as the best matchup for the Celtics in the NBA Finals
