-- Roger Goodell’s plan to avoid getting booed during the NFL Draft this year didn’t work.

The commissioner heard boos from the Dallas crowd during the first night of the draft even though he took the stage with current and former Cowboys Troy Aikman, Roger Staubach and Jason Witten

It was suspected before the draft started that Goodell would use this as a tactic.

“I’m sure he’s going to get a good response with us being out there,” Staubach said. “If they boo, all of us are in trouble.”

And the crowd did boo. The boos continued the whole time Goodell was on stage to start the night and continued up until he announced Cleveland was on the clock for the first pick.

Ok Dallas booed Roger Goodell for almost as long as Philly last year...Almost. We have that in common--‍♂️#NFLDraft pic.twitter.com/i13aj5OtW5

"I can't believe you guys are booing the Cowboys," Goodell said during his opening remarks. "Come on!"

Goodell estimated about 100,000 people were in the crowd inside and outside the stadium.

-- Wayne Gretzky is making a profit on the purchase of a mansion he previously owned.

Gretzky sold his house to Lenny Dykstra for  $18.5 million in 2007 but Dykstra then lost it to foreclosure, which is very on-brand for Dykstra, and Gretzky recently bought it back for $13.5 million.

The mansion is described as a luxurious property full of amenities.

"Inside, stately crown molding and Venetian plaster walls accent spaces such as the living room, formal dining area and chef's kitchen. Other common areas include a theater room, a gym, an office, six bedrooms and eight bathrooms. A second-story terrace takes in views of the Santa Monica Mountains. Out back, a covered patio with pillars leads out to a pool and spa. Elsewhere, there is a lighted and fenced tennis court, an outdoor kitchen, a rose garden and two guest houses."

QUOTE OF THE DAY: "We’re not here to debate and discuss facts from the past. We’re here to talk about a path forward. This has never been about changing the name of one street. It’s a journey we’re on as an organization. We’ve made some strides since 2002. We openly and readily admit we have a long way to go in this effort. But we want to be part of positive change for the city as we move forward.” -- Sam Kennedy, with OMF, on the plan to change Yawkey Way to Jersey Street
