AROUND THE WEB:

-- Shaquille O'Neal joined First Take on Thursday and discussed his thoughts on the Isaiah Thomas-Rajon Rondo spat during a game on Wednesday.

"I don't think it was an I.T. problem. I actually like what went on," O'Neal said. "It reminds me of the old-school NBA."

"Rondo is probably the last of the old school so he said 'Hey, I said it and I'm gonna show you what I meant.'" O'Neal said on Rondo chirping at Thomas about Thomas wanting the Celtics to show his tribute video on Paul Pierce night. "I.T. has to learn to just play his way through things and just not talk and not get in confrontations and not get technical fouls. I.T. needs to understand the last situation didn't go too well for him so he's kind of at the bottom now."

O'Neal also said if Thomas wants to get a max deal, he's going to have to do less talking and more playing.

-- An Arizona basketball cheerleader was ejected from Thursday night's game between Arizona and Arizona State for heckling through a megaphone.

"He was yelling, using the (megaphone) to call out people by name, which is not acceptable," said Randy McCaul, the referee who ejected the cheerleader. "And he was asked to please stop, and he chose not to."

The cheerleader did not use profanity, but did call out names and yelled into a megaphone during play.
