— TB12 (@TB12sports) August 30, 2019-- Police have issued an arrest warrant for Lakers star DeMarcus Cousins on a misdemeanor domestic violence charge in Mobile, Alabama.
Christy West, Cousins' former girlfriend, is seeking a restraining order against him after she said in court documents and in a police report obtained by TMZ that he threatened her and has previously choked her.
West alleges Cousins said he would put a "bullet in (her) f---ing head" during an argument over allowing their 7-year-old son to attend Cousins' wedding to another woman.
In statements on Tuesday the NBA and Lakers said they were "investigating the allegations."
A police spokesperson told TMZ Sports on Thursday, "No arrest has been made yet. Hopefully, he will turn himself in on the active misdemeanor arrest warrant."
QUOTE OF THE DAY: "It was like a surprise. Obviously Andrew Luck was in some pain. He even said it. He described what he was feeling. I can relate. During the Super Bowl in the second quarter I took a hit to my quad. Literally, by the end of the game, I really don't even know how I played. My quad was gigantic. People just don't really see that type of side of the NFL." -- Rob Gronkowski, on Andrew Luck's retirement
