-- Tom Brady was the second quarterback named to the NFL 100 All-Time Team this week and he posted a heartfelt message to Instagram for the first quarterback named, his “idol” Joe Montana.

"When I was 4 years old I watched Joe play at Candlestick Park on Jan. 10, 1982 and saw 'The Catch,' one of the greatest plays in football history. It feels surreal today to be on this list alongside my idol. I’m very honored and humbled,” Brady wrote. “I’m sure there’s a kid out there somewhere who’s looking at this list, watching tape of me and Joe and making plans to knock both of us down a spot. That’s why football is the best.”
Brady will join Bill Belichick on the NFL Network Friday night to announce the rest of the quarterbacks on the All-Time team.
-- Julian Edelman also used Instagram to send a message this week, but it was more playful than heartfelt.
Edelman posted a picture of himself with Isaiah Wynn during the Patriots’ win over the Bills and joked that Wynn might be taking his advice too literally.
