Kyrie Irving seems pretty happy playing for the Celtics.

Irving and Gordon Hayward spoke with Rachel Nichols recently and Irving indicated he has no plans to play anywhere other than Boston.

"The future is very, very bright in Boston," Irving said. "Even if I ever try to think about that thought of going elsewhere, it would be like 'what are you thinking? We're pretty f-ing good here' … not just this year but for years to come. Yeah, I'm looking forward to that."

If Irving declines his $21.3 million player option with the Celtics, he could become a free agent after next season.

You know all the talk about Kyrie Irving as one of the elite free agents available next summer? Not so fast. Here's what he told me: "Even if I ever try to think about that thought of going elsewhere, it would be like 'what are you thinking? We're pretty f-ing good here." pic.twitter.com/QEM4XMDvWM

When Nichols said people will hear this and think it means he will re-sign with the Celtics, Irving didn't exactly deny that implication.

"It is what it is, honestly," he said. "I think that I'm comfortable in the position I'm in and they know how I feel about them as teammates and the organization in general so I'm happy to be a part of it and I can't wait for it."
