Lenny Dykstra reportedly threatened to kill his Uber driver last month but now it’s his driver who is in trouble.
The driver is being charged with false imprisonment after Dykstra claims he kidnapped him on May 23.
The incident during the bizarre ride in New Jersey allegedly began when Dykstra asked to change his location and the driver refused. Here’s where we come to the discrepancy in the story.
Dykstra claims the driver got upset when he asked for the change, locked the doors and began driving at 100 mph in the other direction. The driver got even madder when he saw that Dykstra was calling 911. But the driver claims the former Met was the one who went berserk and threatened to kill him.
Either way, the ride ended when the driver pulled up to a police station and Dykstra claims the driver lied to police about what happened.
Dykstra was arrested that night for allegedly threatening to shoot the driver. He was also found in possession of weed, cocaine and ecstasy and his charges have not been dropped.
I’m sure if Dykstra was actually on the phone with 911 they could pull the audio of the calls and the call records and that could help figure this whole thing out. Dykstra is a loon but if they did that and the calls show he’s telling the truth, that would explain the passion in his tweet storm right after the incident in which he insisted he is innocent in the matter.
