Lonzo Ball was asked by TMZ recently if he and new Lakers teammate Isaiah Thomas are getting along and Ball said there is no animosity between the two.
"We're cool, man," Ball said. "I haven't played with him yet, though. Looking forward to that."
When asked if he would like to see the Lakers sign Thomas in the offseason, Ball said, "Whatever happens happens."
TMZ then asked Ball if he and Thomas are competing for the starting role and Ball said, "I just play basketball."
Thomas praised Ball after joining the Lakers last week.
"Even from the outside looking in, watching the Lakers play, he's very good and he goes at his own pace which is strength to have at a young age and he's talented," Thomas said. "I can't wait to get on the floor with him and be able to compete with him and hopefully win a lot of games."
