AROUND THE WEB:
-- During the Chargers’ loss to the Patriots on Sunday, some odd, years-old tweets from the team’s official Twitter account were uncovered and reshared.
The tweets are not offensive or damning but they are a little bizarre.

-- It’s official: Maroon 5 will headline the halftime performance at this year’s Super Bowl.
The move was announced on Sunday after rumors swirled for months that the band would the top-billed Super Bowl LIII performers.
The NFL struggled to find a performer after artists declined in solidarity with former 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick. But the league was finally able to secure Travis Scott and Big Boi to perform with Maroon 5.
The band tweeted a video after the announcement:

January 13, 2019 QUOTE OF THE DAY: "Yeah, it’s tough. I was excited this week, I was excited to come back here. It was an emotional week a little bit just being back here in the postseason after being here 11 years ago almost to the day, a week shy of 11 years. I think like every team, when you go into the game, you expect to win and I certainly thought we were going to have a better outing. But we didn’t. So it is emotional because I think you know how hard it is to get to January the 13th and be in a playoff game. You’re talking an eight, nine month deal and to come up short again is tough. A lot of good this year, I think as the dust settles you can appreciate more of that. But certainly a disappointing finish. You get up and start again." -- Philip Rivers, on losing to the Patriots and now being 0-8 all-time against Tom Brady
