-- Rob Gronkowski announced his retirement on Sunday night and the Jets aren’t that broken up about it.

Jets CEO Christopher Johnson called the move “good news” for the team, as Gronkowski scored nine touchdowns against New York in his career.

“Look it, it’s obviously good news for the Jets because he’s an amazing player,” Johnson said. “To take a step back, I’m going to miss him as a player because he’s absolutely magnificent. If you ever play the game like I do of if I could steal that player off that team, he’s one of the top players I’ve always wished was a Jet. Just an extraordinary man and extraordinary player.”

Even though Jets running back Le'veon Bell tweeted “thank youu for the amazing moments” to Gronkowski, fans agree with Johnson that this is news to celebrate.

-- Rob Gronkowski’s girlfriend, Camille Kostek, posted a message to the former Patriot on Instagram right after his retirement announcement to tell him how “proud” she is of him.

You motivate me to be better, you show me that limits can be pushed and that challenges make you stronger. If you ask me, you’re the best to ever do it. There is nothing like the thrill of watching you play. I love you with all my heart, you allow me to take the term “proud girlfriend” to a new level. For all the people that have come up to us to tell you they are your biggest fan, I quietly smile because I know I’m yours -- and I will continue to root you on in all that you do ❤️-- WE LOVE YOU PATS NATION & @patriots !!!! #retirement #87 #HallOfFamer
