AROUND THE WEB:

-- While a flood of current and former athletes paid tribute to Kobe Bryant after his shocking death on Sunday, Kendrick Perkins used the moment to settle a beef with Kevin Durant.

Realizing that life is short, Perkins tweeted to Durant to apologize for a Twitter dispute involving the two earlier this month. Perkins had blasted Durant for joining the Warriors, saying he "did the weakest move in NBA history."

In his apology tweet on Sunday, Perkins told Durant he loves him.

Just wanted to tell you I Love you my brother and whatever I did to hurt you I'm sorry bro and hope you forgive me!!! I love you bro real Talk! @KDTrey5

My new motto with everything is, What Would Kobe do? He'd want us to focus more on the loss of his daughter. He'd want us to get past differences with our brothers and move on. He'd never want the game to be cancelled or be stopped. He'd want us to keep going! #RIPKOBE------------

-- It was initially reported that Rick Fox was among those killed in the helicopter crash that took the life of Bryant and nine others but that turned out to be false and Fox was not even on board the helicopter.

Fox's stepdaughter confirmed on Sunday he is, in fact, alive, before Fox himself tweeted condolences to Bryant's family.

Kobe and Gianna may your souls and the souls of the others who were with you Rest In Peace. My condolences and prayers go out to Kobe's wife Vanessa, his daughters and the Bryant Family. I Love You Kobe and will miss you dearly.
