-- Mike Francesa joined Twitter on Friday and has been active on his account ever since.

One might say he's already addicted to it.

Francesa tweeted 17 times over the weekend about everything from the Preakness to the Mets to his app and golf.

He sent his first tweet from Twitter headquarters in New York City on Friday.

"Long time coming, first time tweeting. Don't waste my time with dumb stuff," his first tweet read.

He then followed up with this: "Thinking of broadcasting daily from the Twitter offices for the remainder of my career. That is an office building. Of course, NY city only."

From there he started tweeting like he's been doing it forever. He doesn't follow any accounts and has not yet liked any tweets.

Back in 2012 Francesa declared he would never use Twitter.

He never could have imagined that one day he would not only be tweeting, but he'd get even more high-tech and tweet about his new app.

"In the very near future I'm going to setup a Q and A regarding the upcoming Mike's On app," he wrote. "A lot of people have written and commented on the app. They are completely clueless. We have some special things planned in terms of content, relationships and immediacy. Stay tuned."
