-- We now know the real reason why Tom Brady isn't ready to retire from the NFL.
Kind of.
Brady posted a video to his Instagram this weekend of him doing running drills on the beach and joked in the caption he will keep playing until he reaches 1,000 career rushing yards.

"Ok so the main reason I'm still playing is I haven't hit 1,000 career rushing yards yet... 32 to go! #TB1K#CatchMeIfYouCan #whereyouatAP#watchandlearnruss #cominforyouarodg#notsoeasyanymorevon#qbsneakon3rdand1"

-- Ousted Coach of the Year Dwane Casey went out on a classy note with a letter in the Toronto Sun thanking the city and Raptors fans for their support.
"Dear Toronto,Thank you.Thank you to basketball fans across this city and the country of Canada who supported the Raptors and welcomed my family with open arms during our seven years here. Thank you to all the fans who cheered us on at the Air Canada Centre while we built this program into a playoff contender, packed Jurassic Park even in the cold and rain, watched the games from home and offered their undying support as we traveled this road to relevancy together.Thank you for teaching our all-American family the Canadian way. That being polite and considerate to one another is always the best way. That diversity is something to be embraced and celebrated. That taking the time to learn about each other's cultures is the surest way to find common ground and understanding. Thank you for making our children feel safe, valued, and comfortable in their own skin. We cannot express how important it has been to build the foundations of who our children are as human beings in a country that shows through its words, actions and laws that all people deserve basic human rights, and a chance to reach their goals through education and hard work."
Casey is the most successful coach in the team's history and was awarded this year's Michael H. Goldberg NBCA Coach of the Year Award but was fired from his post on Friday after the Raptors were swept by the Cavaliers.
"After careful consideration, I have decided this is a very difficult but necessary step the franchise must take," Raptors president Masai Ujiri said in a statement on the firing. "As a team, we are constantly trying to grow and improve in order to get to the next level. We celebrate everything Dwane has done for the organization, we thank him, and we wish him nothing but the best in the future. He was instrumental in creating the identity and culture of who we are as a team, and we are so proud of that."
Casey had one year left on his contract. The Raptors are reportedly already looking at Hawks coach Mike Budenholzer and will consider assistant coach Nick Nurse as potential replacements.
QUOTE OF THE DAY: "We have a lot of room to improve from tonight." -- Brad Stevens, after the Celtics blew out Cavaliers 108-83
