-- JR Smith changed his story about his infamous mistake at the end of regulation of Game 1 of the NBA Finals last week, saying he actually wasn’t sure of the score when he dribbled away from the basket.

“After thinking about it a lot after the last 24 hours and however long it's been since the game was over, I can't say I was sure of anything at that point," Smith said on Saturday.

Smith had previously said he knew the score was tied when he rebounded a George Hill free throw and dribbled away from the basket, even though it looked like he said to LeBron James, "I thought we were ahead," as the clock expired.

"I might have said that," Smith said. "I'm not for sure, but I might have."

In Game 2 of the Finals against the Warriors on Sunday night, Golden State fans chanted “MVP” at Smith as he shot free throws in the first quarter.
