AROUND THE WEB:

-- Tom Brady is not in the Pro Football Hall of Fame yet but he was in Canton on Sunday to watch another Patriots legend's induction ceremony.

While at the Hall of Fame for Ty Law's enshrinement, Brady, along with Bill Belichick and some teammates, got the chance to visit with some of his own memorabilia.

I would guess his rookie card went up in value now that Brady has actually held it.

-- Red Sox legend Pedro Martinez revealed on Sunday the majority of the 2009 Phillies team had the swine flu during the postseason.

Martinez pitched for the Phillies during their World Series run against the Yankees ten years ago and said he even had the infamous illness.

"It wasn't told, but most of us were sick," Martinez said Sunday, per The Philadelphia Inquirer. "Some of the guys had swine flu and had to be kept away. I caught some of the virus. We would just never say it. When I got home, I realized that I was really sick."

"I had a little bit of an asthma attack in the middle of the game and I was having a hard time breathing," he continued. "I was really sick. In any other situation, I wouldn't be out there. But the team needed me."

The Yankees won that series and Martinez only lasted four innings in Game 6 due to his illness.

QUOTE OF THE DAY: "When things get bumpy, you've got to address it. We care about each other in here. Obviously, we're not playing the way we want, but we take a lot of pride and we respect each other and we love each other. We grind together, we win together, we lose together. And when something comes up and someone has something to say, we have enough respect and love for each other to get together as a group and go over some things. That's just how it goes." -- Chris Sale, on the players-only meeting the Red Sox players held between games on Saturday
