After a Twitter exchange with Lou Merloni this week, Good Morning Football's Nate Burleson joined OMF to discuss why Burleson thinks Josh Gordon will have a season with the Patriots comparable to Randy Moss' in New England.

That is exactly what we plan to do. @Nate13Burleson joins us next! https://t.co/gnLHi7C4Fz
— OMFonWEEI (@OMFonWEEI) September 20, 2018There are too many things lost in translation on Twitter so I wouldn't respond like that to a tweet. It was actually the audio of y'all on air that I listened to Lou so there's not much confusion in what I heard. With that said I'll carve out some time to jump on with y'all. https://t.co/98Lvqp77il
— Nathaniel E Burleson (@Nate13Burleson) September 18, 2018Burleson believes it will come down to whether or not Gordon can "stay up and keep up with that playbook."
"Josh Gordon is just that good," the former NFLer said of the comparison to Moss. "Randy Moss might have been misunderstood but damn it did he love football."
Burleson then compared a football player's relationship with the game to a relationship with a woman and Gordon is at a point with football where the game is ready to pack her bags and leave but he wants to make the relationship work out.
"This is the last chapter of this relationship between Josh Gordon and the sport of football," Burleson said. " … And I think this will work because he doesn't want to let this last chance get away."
