Ray Lewis, Britt McHenry lose huge number of Twitter followers after fake account purge

The Twitter follower counts for Ray Lewis and Britt McHenry are looking a lot lighter today.

After Twitter completed its purge of fake accounts on Thursday, Lewis and McHenry had each lost a large percentage of their followers.

Lewis had around 712,200 followers before the purge and ended up with about 364,700. McHenry’s count was around 362,800 before it was reduced to about 223,300.

Twitter set out to delete all the fake accounts that users can buy to up their follower counts.

Shaquille O’Neal also lost a staggering one million followers.
