Rob Gronkowski leaves door open for NFL return while announcing partnership with CBD business

Rob Gronkowski made his much-hyped announcement on Tuesday and it was not about a return to football. 

Yet.


The former NFL tight end announced his partnership with CBDMEDIC after CBD helped him recover from football injuries. 

"I was hurt both mentally and physically from football," Gronkowski said. "For the first time in more than a decade, I am pain-free."

He also said he is advocating for the use of CBD in professional sports to help athletes recover. 

And he wants his new nickname to be "Mr. Recovery."

Gronk said he slept for 5 minutes after winning the Super Bowl and was in tears because of the quad injury he sustained in the 1st half. He said he couldn't sleep for more than 20 minutes for 4 months and had 1 liter of blood removed from the quad.

Gronkowski did, however, leave to door open for a possible return to the NFL. 

Gronk says he doesn't forsee returning to the NFL in the next few weeks or a month. He DID leave the possibility open. He said he could return in 3 month or in 2 years. For now, he's focused on this business and he's focused on "enjoying life."
