-- Brock Holt is now a member of the Brewers but he expressed his appreciation for his time with the Red Sox in a heartfelt goodbye message on Instagram on Wednesday.

Boston. You turned a Texas boy into one of your own. It has been my absolute honor to play for your team and be a part of your city. Baseball is just that. Baseball. It doesn't last forever. The relationships I've built will. I became a husband, a father, and a champion while playing for you. I want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who has been a part of this chapter with us. And thank you for letting me be a part of yours. It was a damn good time!

Before he left us this afternoon, Ryan Newman and his daughters took a moment to take a photo with our clinical team and Halifax Health President & CEO Jeff Feasel. Godspeed, Ryan! #LiveYourLifeWell pic.twitter.com/lqTnvHyNSv

Ryan Newman walks out of the hospital under his own power 42 hours after a crash that left many fearing the worst. He was listed in serious condition Monday night, now holding hands with his daughters. "Miracle" seems like a cliche, but I'm at a loss for how else to describe it.

Roush Fenway said there is no timetable for Newman's return and Ross Chastain will fill in for him as he recovers.

No one could ever take the place of Ryan Newman on the track, and I can't wait to have him back. As we continue to pray for a full and speedy recovery, I'll do my best to make him and everyone at Roush Fenway Racing proud. #RocketMan https://t.co/Y26pb3rEr2

QUOTE OF THE DAY: "For influencer marketing it's been something we've been doing for years. Given how the importance of social media has grown over the past several years we want to make sure we're connecting through various channels, whether that be advertising our own social media platforms others …  So we've been doing this for a while and it was not in response to the Mookie trade at all." -- Red Sox Chief Marketing Officer Adam Grossman, on the team' approach to social media marketing
