-- Rob Gronkowski is certainly enjoying his retirement and his latest post-football gig was presenting at the Billboard Music Awards on Wednesday night.

He was interviewed while walking the red carpet and said everyone is asking him if he is actually retired for good.

Gronkowski said he likes to “mess around” with people when answering the question but did then confirm he really is going to stay retired.

He then showed off his acting skills during the show when he played the role of a security guard who mistook Kelly Clarkson, the show’s host, for a seat-filler.

-- The PawSox will likely be called Worcester Red Sox, or WooSox, when the team moves to Worcester in 2021 but the organization has filed trademarks for three potential new names.

According to the United States Patent and Trademark Office, the PawSox have trademarked the names “Worcesters,” “Ruby Legs,” and “Wicked Worms.”

Worcester’s long-defunct baseball team was called the Worcesters and that team’s nicknames were the Brown Stockings and the Ruby Legs. And the Wicked Worms seems to be a reference to Worcester’s Wormtown nickname.

The trademarks were filed on Feb. 22 and apply to a range of clothing and “entertainment services in the nature of baseball games and exhibitions.”
