-- Kevin Millar joined Barstool Radio on Wednesday ahead of throwing out the first pitch before Game 2 of the World Series at Fenway Park and talked about his time back in Boston so far.

“First of all, I had a sleepover at Papi’s house two nights ago,” Millar began the appearance. “Straight up. Straight up random sleepover. I slept at Papi’s house. I had no toothbrush, no nothing.”

Millar said when his plane landed in Boston he met up with former Cubs second baseman Mark DeRosa and his wife for a drink. The group then joined Ortiz at his Downtown Crossing restaurant, Yvonne’s.

“Had a few cocktails,” Millar said. “Laughing. Hehe. Then (Ortiz was) taking us back to the hotel and he said, ‘Just sleep over.' We slept over. Like literally slept over,” the former Red Sox first baseman said. “Stayed up till 4:30 a.m. Had a great time.”

He then concluded by saying what everyone else was thinking: “Where was this story going?”

-- The Boston Symphony Orchestra opened up Game 2 of the World Series with the national anthem but then followed up with a challenge for their friends in Los Angeles.

Before kicking off a rendition of Shipping up to Boston by the Dropkick Murphys, the BSO challenged the LA Philharmonic “to top our theme song.”

One down, three to go! @RedSox Nation, this one’s for you. We challenge @GustavoDudamel  and the @LAPhil to show us their best theme song. Let’s go Red Sox! #DoDamage pic.twitter.com/p6WGyNq4eV

The LA Philharmonic has yet to respond but the Dropkick Murphys approved.

QUOTE OF THE DAY: “Once you get away from the heater, it’s already getting in on you, it’s getting cold, but like I said, everyone else is pitching in the same thing.” -- Dodgers reliever Ryan Madson, complaining about the cold weather in Boston while playing the Red Sox in the World Series
