-- Kliff Kingsbury instituted a new policy for his Cardinals allowing the players to take cell phone breaks during team meetings.

"You start to see kind of hands twitching and legs shaking, and you know they need to get that social media fix,” Kingsbury said. “So we'll let them hop over there and then get back in the meeting and refocus.”

Kingsbury used the same policy when he was coaching at Texas Tech.

"I think coming from the college ranks to obviously, those young men, it's got to be quick hitters, 20 minutes at a time, give them a break and get them back in," Kingsbury said. "We want to make sure that when we have them, they're focused, and they're locked in, and we're maximizing their time.”

But Stephen A. Smith is not a fan of this practice.

Smith freaked out on First Take about it, calling the policy “asinine.”

“He’s giving them a break from practice to go on Twitter,” Smith yelled.

---- everyone on @GetUpESPN is upset at Kingsbury for giving “cell phone breaks”. What if he called them “breaks” and it’s understood the players leave the room to look at their cell phones. That’s been happening for years btw
