-- Many cable subscribers looking to stream the Yankees-A’s wild card game Wednesday night through the Watch TBS app were not happy when they ran into an error message saying the game was unavailable.
-- Seahawks linebacker Mychal Kendricks has been suspended indefinitely for insider trading and Pete Carroll is having a tough time wrapping his head around it.
Carroll told reporters on Wednesday the indefinite nature of the suspension throws uncertainty into his roster.
“How do you define indefinitely?” Carroll said. “I don’t know. We pressed that. What does that mean? It means indefinitely. We don’t have a sense for what’s going to happen right now and they couldn’t give us any, so we know nothing moving forward. A month ago, or when we signed him up, we thought that there would be a time when there would be somewhat of a length of the suspension that wasn’t indefinite. I don’t know what that means. We thought it was going to be two, three weeks or something like that. I don’t know what’s happening now with that.”
Kendricks was suspended on Tuesday after he pleaded guilty last month to federal insider trading charges.
"It happened four and a half years ago, so it's a story that's been worked on for a long time," Carroll said. "There's a lot of good information. We've come to learn who he is and what he's all about and how remorseful he was and how he admitted to his mistake a long time ago -- he paid the money back, he did all of the right things along the way. The process continues, but we just checked everything we could possibly check out, and he's a guy that deserves a second chance."
Kendricks is appealing the suspension and is not scheduled to be sentenced until Jan. 24. He could be facing up to 37 months in prison.
