Trey Flowers seems to hint at return to Patriots during speech before AHL game

Will Trey Flowers return to the Patriots next season?

Based on a comment he made on Wednesday, it seems he wants to stay with the team.

Flowers, who is set to become a free agent, appeared at the Springfield Thunderbirds AHL game to participate in the pregame ceremony and made a comment suggesting he wants to return to New England next season.

Thanks to @III_Flowers for bringing some Super Bowl swag to our SOLD OUT Military Appreciation Night! #WeAreAllPatriots

“This is No. 6. We want seven,” Flowers said while standing beside the Lombardi Trophy.

Take that as you will, but it doesn’t exactly sound like he has any reservations about returning to the Patriots.
