-- The Celtics' 87-79 loss to the Cavaliers in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals on Sunday wasn't great for Boston fans, but it was excellent for ESPN's television ratings.
The 9.1 market rating for the matchup tied the record for the highest-rated game ever on ESPN. The other game happens to be Game 7 of the 2012 Eastern Conference finals, which was when James and the Heat eliminated the Celtics.
The peak viewership was between 10:45-11 p.m, when the broadcast earned a 12.0 rating.
Boston was the second-highest-rated local market with a rating of 21.9, just behind Cleveland's 27.6.
The overall series averaged a 6.3 rating for seven games, which was up 37 percent from the same matchup last year.
-- Rudy Giuliani went to Yankee Stadium for the Memorial Day game against Astros and was mercilessly booed by fans when the public address announcer wished him a happy birthday.

QUOTE OF THE DAY: "You know me, I'm the softest guy in this clubhouse. If that bothered me, I would have been out of the game. I'm soft. It wasn't painful. I'm fine. If it was painful, I would have come out … I wasn't coming out of the game. I'd rather blow-out out there than come out. That's just where we're at." -- David Price, after getting hit by a line drive off his forearm in the first inning of the Red Sox' win over the Blue Jays on Monday
