-- It looks like Kliff Kingsbury has found a way out of the block USC put on him to keep him from interviewing with NFL teams, as he spoke with the Jets on Monday afternoon.

The former Patriot and current USC offensive coordinator is reportedly a top candidate for the Cardinals’ job and Mike Florio reported on Sunday that Josh McDaniels might be planning to leave the Patriots after this season and New England should keep an eye on Kingsbury for the position.

The Jets are interviewing USC offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury, per source and as @BruceFeldmanCFB first reported. Mentioned Cardinals' interest in the 39-year-old this AM. The Jets have been eyeing him for a while as well.

Before he was USC’s offensive coordinator, Kingsbury spent six seasons in the role at Texas Tech with a 35-40 record.

Jets safety Jamal Adams tweeted in celebration when he heard the news Kingsbury met with the team.

The Patriots selected Kingsbury in the 2003 Draft but he was waived after spending a year on injured reserve. He played in only one game in his NFL career, with the Jets, and completed one pass.

-- Chargers left tackle Russell Okung is going after Roger Goodell.

After he was called for a questionable foul for the second time in three games on Sunday, Okung said he believes there is a conspiracy behind it. It seems he thinks the NFL wants the Chargers to earn their way to the Super Bowl on the road instead of at Dignity Healthy Sports Park.

"Roger Goodell doesn't want us to come home," Okung said. "That's all I can say."

Okung was called for holding against Baltimore safety Tony Jefferson on Sunday and two weeks ago he was called for holding on a Melvin Gordon 8-yard run.

Dignity Healthy Sports Park is a 27,000-seat soccer stadium and is the Chargers’ temporary home until the team’s new Inglewood stadium is completed in 2020.

QUOTE OF THE DAY: “I usually don’t worry too much about the forecast until the day of the game because it is pretty hard to get that right. We’ll see what happens.” -- Bill Belichick, on the forecast for the game on Sunday
