-- LeBron James has officially signed his four-year, $154 million contract with the Lakers.
James's representatives at Klutch Sports tweeted out a picture of James with the contracts and Lakers GM Rob Pelinka on Monday along with a statement to make the signing official.

In a press release, Lakers president of basketball operations Magic Johnson is quoted as saying, "LeBron is special. He is the best player in the world ... The Lakers players are excited to have a teammate who has been to nine NBA Finals. It's a huge step closer to returning the Lakers to the playoffs and to the NBA Finals."

-- Donald Trump announced his pick for a new Supreme Court justice on Monday and some in the sports world have already voiced their support for his choice of Brett Kavanaugh.
Cardinals owner Michael Bidwill was a high school classmate of Kavanaugh's and issued a letter of support on Monday. The letter was also signed by Yankees general manager Brian Cashman, who was also a classmate of Kavanaugh's at Georgetown Prep.
