-- Red Sox fans at Petco Park on Sunday fell victim to a prank by the Padres when they thought they were about to sing the chorus to Sweet Caroline but they thought wrong.

In the eighth inning, the stadium jumbotron asked fans to sing along to Sweet Caroline as a part of Padres Karaoke but right before the chorus, the song quickly switched to Rick Astley's Never Gonna Give You Up.

This "rick-rolling" is a classic internet prank of unexpectedly clicking a link to the song's music video.

The Padres shared the prank on their Twitter account.
