-- Rob Gronkowski made an organ transplant patient's wish come true on Monday when he paid a visit to her in her hospital room.

Lauren Meizo is a huge Gronkowski fan and was thrilled when the Patriots tight end and his brother Gordie showed up.

Meizo first asked Gronkowski to visit her in a YouTube video posted March 25. She has been living at Brigham and Women's Hospital for the past three months as she awaits her second new heart in five years. She is also waiting for a new kidney.

Have to give a big shout out to @RobGronkowski. Just heard from our friend Lauren Meizo who is at Brigham and Women's waiting for a heart and her wish was just to meet him. HE MADE HER WISH COME TRUE! I've never been more inspired by her and her story. Gronk, you're amazing! pic.twitter.com/KGHYEABLF8

"It was incredible. He was so down to earth!" Meizo said of Gronkowski. "My nerves were gone once we started talking. It was a dream come true … He said the part that sold it for him was when I said in my video (I'll) allow a meet and greet with me."

As for her long-awaited transplant, Meizo said she hopes it won't be much longer.

"I'm at the top of the list, that's all I know. They say that (I'm) the next," she said. "Or should I say, they smile when I asked if I'm next. The doctors, that is."

-- NFL cheerleaders are subject to difficult treatment, including weight rules and a sweatpants ban, according to a story published by the New York Times on Monday.

The report reveals cheerleaders for some NFL teams must follow strict rules inside and outside of the workplace.

Carolina Panthers cheerleaders, for example, must arrive at the stadium five hours early on game days and are allowed water breaks only when the Panthers are on offense. They also are not allowed to change into their street clothes until after they leave the stadium.

Baltimore Ravens cheerleaders had regular weigh-ins and the Cincinnati Ben-Gals must maintain a weight within three pounds of their ideal weight.

This story comes on the heels of former Saints cheerleader Bailey Davis filing a gender discrimination complaint against the team claiming she was fired for posting an Instagram photo of herself wearing a one-piece bathing suit.
