Gerry Callahan went after Troy Aikman on Sunday for his ‘cliche’ opinion that Mike McCarthy deserved better than to be fired by the Packers mid-season and Aikman responded on Monday.
Troy Aikman, cliche machine, says Mike McCarthy deserved better. McCarthy was head coach in Green Bay for 13 years. He won one Super Bowl. How long did he deserve, Troy? Fourteen years? Twenty?

December 3, 2018 “Troy Aikman, cliche machine, says Mike McCarthy deserved better. McCarthy was head coach in Green Bay for 13 years. He won one Super Bowl. How long did he deserve, Troy? Fourteen years? Twenty?,” Callahan tweeted, referring to Aikman’s response to the firing during the Patriots-Vikings broadcast on Sunday.
To which Aikman responded:
Two losing seasons in 12 years (one of those last year without Rodgers for 9 games); took the Packers to the playoffs in 9 of the last 11 seasons; 4 NFC Championship Games, 1 Super Bowl title. Yes Gerry, he deserved better than to be fired mid-season. Is that cliche enough for ya https://t.co/e9ep6ysZxq

December 3, 2018 No response from Callahan yet but, to be fair, Aikman is definitely a cliche machine.
