T.Y. Hilton likely won’t play against Patriots Thursday after suffering hamstring injury in Colts’ strange overtime loss

The Colts lost Sunday’s game against the Texans in overtime and in the process also likely lost T.Y. Hilton for Thursday’s game against the Patriots.

Hilton left the game for the locker room in the first quarter with a chest injury but eventually returned to the field. He later suffered a hamstring injury and was sidelined for the rest of the game.

Head coach Frank Reich said after the game Hilton will probably not play in the game against the Patriots on Thursday due to the hamstring tweak.

“I have no idea yet but probably not good,” Reich said when asked if Hilton will play in Week 5.

Meanwhile, the game was a weird loss for the Colts.

Tied 34-34, they basically gave the Texans the game with 27 seconds left in overtime when they went for a fourth down instead of punting at the 43-yard line. Andrew Luck threw an incomplete pass, giving the Texans possession and they ended up winning with a field goal.

However, old friend Adam Vinatieri broke the all-time field goal record with his 566th in the second quarter.

He made 263 of those field goals during his 10 years with the Patriots.
