-- Get ready for Tom vs. Time: E! Edition.

Tom Brady’s interview with E! for the new series "In the Room" airs on Wednesday night and it promises a “candid” conversation with the quarterback.

In the promotional clip for the episode, Jason Kennedy talks with Brady about his marriage to Gisele Bundchen.

“I think we just have to make sure we take time for one another,” Brady said. “And I think if you want it to get better and improve, you’ve gotta communicate. I want to support her and her dreams. She wants to support me and mine.”

The interview will likely be one long TB12 commercial and I have no doubt Kennedy’s big question will be about when Brady will retire.

-- The Panthers have fired head coach Ron Rivera after nine years at the Carolina helm.

The team announced the decision Tuesday afternoon on Twitter.

“I thought it was time,” Panthers owner David Tepper said. “Why specifically now is I was informed of other teams doing different types of searches out there and I’m not going to start a search and not tell Ron Rivera I’m starting a search. Too good of a man.”

Rivera also told the Panthers website he had some “great years” in Carolina.

"We did a lot," Rivera said. "The people. We brought in good men, good coaches. We did things the right way."

The team will use a search committee to find the next coach.

QUOTE OF THE DAY: “Boston’s a tough town, dawg. You have to have some major cojones to be there. You got to want that. The people want it for you. That’s why Paul (Pierce was) perfect for it. Paul wants the shot every time. Like, ‘You’re 0-for-14.” And he’s like, ‘I know, but they want it.’” -- Kevin Garnett, on Kyrie Irving’s departure from Boston
