-- A Patriots fan shelled out some serious cash for a ticket to the Super Bowl.

According to Vivid Seats, someone spent a whopping $15,997 for one ticket on the 50-yard line at US Bank Stadium on Minnesota. That is $11,000 more than the median price for a ticket, which is reportedly $4,545.

The ticket agency also reports eight percent of Super Bowl tickets have been sold to people from Massachusetts. Its "get-in" price for tickets is $3,391 while tickets on the 50-yard line could cost as much as $30,533.

One buyer reportedly spent $15,150 per ticket for 3 seats in Section C, Row 1 of the stadium's club level for this Super Bowl.

Vivid Seats also released a breakdown of past Super Bowl ticket prices compared to this year's prices, which are the highest.

-- Eagles fans are a force to be reckoned with, it seems.

Philadelphia police are ditching the Crisco and are ready to use another method to keep insane Eagles fans from climbing the city's light poles after the Super Bowl.

Police Commissioner Richard Ross did not reveal Philly's new weapon, but said "it will be safe … but it will be effective." He said climbing the poles this Sunday "will be far more difficult" than after the NFC Championship Game.

Ross also said police are focused on the safety of fans "as well as the people who they could fall down on."

The morning of the NFC Championship Game, Philadelphia's "Crisco Cops" greased light poles in the city to prevent fans from climbing them and possibly injuring themselves after the game. It did not work.
