AROUND THE WEB:

--Ray Allen joined David Portnoy for a Barstool pizza review on Tuesday and opened up on his split with the Celtics in 2012.

"There was a lot of "Well, you know," Allen said of the way the Celtics organization felt about him. "This is the place I love and it is unfortunate."

"I had a great time in Miami but that's not the place I wanted to be," Allen continued. "The place I wanted to be was where I was. But when your job, whatever it is you do, on a daily basis and they don't cherish you or value you, you sit there and say to yourself, 'Wow.'"

"But here's the interesting thing: everybody spun it," he said. "And guess who didn't say anything? Me. So everybody in the whole existence made me look like a criminal; made me look like the bad guy."

-- Peyton Manning has reportedly turned down FOX's Thursday Night Football opportunity and will not be in the broadcast booth at all next season.

Manning reportedly turned down ESPN's offer to join Monday Night Football and replace Jon Gruden earlier this month.

Both networks were willing to pay Manning $10 million per year.

QUOTE OF THE DAY: "All the guys that we got, obviously, we're happy to have. Glad that it worked out with all of them. We'll see how it goes. We're going to put them into the program and give them the opportunity to compete like everybody else. We'll see how it works." -- Bill Belichick, on the Patriots' offseason acquisitions
