The Yankees have acquired left-hander James Paxton from the Mariners, it was reported Monday night.
In return, the Mariners will receive Don Thompson-Williams, Erik Swanson and top pitching prospect Justus Sheffield.
The Yankees add Paxton to the rotation after resigning CC Sabathia to a 1-year, $8 million contract earlier this month.
