The rematch we knew was going to happen for months gets underway Thursday in Boston.
The Bruins will face the Toronto Maple Leafs in the best-of-seven Eastern Conference first round with home-ice advantage starting that night and continuing two nights later on Hockey Night in Canada.
The series then shifts to Toronto for Game 3 and 4. The Bruins defeated the Maple Leafs in seven games last season.
Because of the NHL's bracket system, the winner of the Bruins-Maple Leafs series will face the winner of the Tampa Bay-Columbus series in the second round.
