Although some Bruins fans may be more concerned with getting defenseman Torey Krug or goaltender Jaroslav Halak signed before they can become unrestricted free agents July 1, two other potential UFAs signed extensions to stay in Boston on Wednesday.
Forward Charlie Coyle signed for six years at a cap charge of $5.25 million starting in the 2020-21 season. Forward Chris Wagner signed for three years at an average annual value of $1.35 million.

This season, while centering the Bruins' second and third lines, and also playing some right wing, the 27-year-old has 14 points (five goals, nine assists) in 24 games. He currently has a salary cap hit of $3.2 million in the last year of a five-year contract.
Wagner, 28 and a native of Walpole, Mass., joined the Bruins on July 1, 2018, signing a two-year contract with an average annual value of 1.25 million.
Looking ahead, the Bruins currently have Krug, Halak, Zdeno Chara and Joakim Nordstrom as potential UFAs. Matt Grzelcyk, Anders Bjork and Jake DeBrusk can become restricted free agents.
